Security with card does not present/display

When a card Visa is not present during a transaction, we used a variety of services of verification to authenticate and to protect the transaction.

The transactions with card do not present/display take place in many situations, such as the electronic, movable, telephone commerce or by mail. The cards Visa are ideal for these payments because they offer flexibility, ease of use, and comfort.

As with all the modes of payment with Visa, the security is a fundamental part of its success.

We have three solutions to authenticate these transactions:

Code of Security (CVV)
It is the call code of security of the card. This it is the code of security of three numbers that appears in reverse of each card Visa on the panel of company/signature or to its right
Verified by Visa
This is our solution of security for the electronic commerce. It is a system of authentication of the identity of the holder protected by password that has been designed to resist the fraud online.
The system of verification of the direction (AVS)
This system verifies the direction of invoicing of the holder. At the moment, it is used solely by commerce in the United Kingdom.

Collaboration with the European Commission

Europe visa, along with its financial organizations member, organizations of consumers and commerce, has closely been collaborating with the European Commission during enough years to develop new forms to fight against the existing forms of fraud and the new ones that can arise.

These measures have helped significantly to that the involved parts are more conscious of this threat and contribute to the reduction of the levels of fraud in Europe.

The priorities in the new Plan of Action for the Prevention of the Fraud made by the European Commission are:

The security of products and systems of payment
The cooperation between the public administrations and the private sector
The integration of the new Member States in the new frame for the prevention of the fraud in the European Union
The narrowing of bows with the neighboring countries to the European Union that affect the situation of the fraud
Europe visa is very involved in the general support of the plan as much in the group of experts in prevention of the fraud, the group of direction and other sub-groups of work.

These groups will be decisive to intensify the exchange of information and good practices to prevent the fraud, especially at cross-border level.
